The LP Presidential candidate, Obi’s refusal to be Kwankwaso’s running mate also ended the two political parties’ alliance talks as they had announced earlier that they were in talks on reaching an alliance ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The NNPP party took to its official Twitter page to announce this from its campaign organization on Thursday where it wrote, “Our VP Pastor Bishop Isaac Idahosa from Edo State.”

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has announced that its presidential candidate and former governor of Kano State, Engr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, has chosen a southern clergy, Bishop Isaac Idahosa as his running mate for the 2023 general elections.

The Christian clergy, Bishop Isaac Idahosa who is from Edo state south – south part of Nigeria is the Senior Pastor of God First Ministry, popularly known as Illumination Assembly, with its headquarters at Lekki Light Centre (LLC), Ajah, Lagos.

The clergy is also a gospel singer, writer, and motivational speaker.

The NNPP Presidential candidate’s choice comes after failure to clinch the presidential candidate of the Labour Party and former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi as his running mate.

We are not sure Kwankwaso made the right choice, as this kind of politicking experience did not go well with the Nigerian Christian population from the ruling APC.
